was looking through resources on fyp stuffs when i came across this...



"the world's most potent plant toxin"

Ricin is a toxin extracted from the castor bean.It is considered to be twice as deadly as cobra venom.Ricin is poisonous if inhaled, injected, or ingested, acting as a toxin by the inhibition of protein synthesis(destroy cells).Ironically,it is being used in cancer treatment as it specifically target and destroy cancer cells.



Another toxic plant is the deadly nightshade(belladonna)



Interesting facts...poisons can come from a plant source...*ponders
